Tech Link (Industry): 3DMark 11 Sneak Preview
Lost Circuits has a nice sneak peak of the upcoming "de facto" 3D benchmark software "3D Mark 11". Michael Schuette goes over the features quickly. Since it's a preview, don't expect a lengthy article, but it's enough to wet your appetite (be forewarned, for some odd reason, that article is under an ATI/AMD article group, brrr).

Tech Link (Industry): H.P. Ousts Chief for Hiding Payments to Friend
Ok, this news made really feel very very afraid of making any kind of expense report. I don't wanna get fired. I mean come on, I don't deliberately mis-use funds but what if I made a mistake and turned into something like this? Well I'm pretty sure I won't get headlined since I a no-name guy anyway, but heck, this would still suck big time.Tech Link (Industry): "Deciding between a PC and a Mac?"
A friend sent me an update regarding the latest buzz over at Microsoft. Just recently, Microsoft has launched a page comparing Microsoft's (Windows) OS vs Apple's OS (MacOS). I am a Mac-newbie and I don't have enough time to research on this thing so I really can't say much whether Microsoft is doing at least a "decent" comparison. I mean, it's a Microsoft site, what can you expect right? However, what I can suggest is if you're like me who's Apple/Mac newbie, then don't just chew everything that's posted on the site. And just the same, if you're a Microsoft/Win newbie, don't just chew everything said on the Apple/Mac camp.Tuesday, August 10, 2010
Tech Link (Industry): Aiptek's 3D HD Camcorder and Portable 3D Display
Woah, first time I have seen such products. Aiptek is going to release their new line of 3D-enabled products, namely 3D HD 720P Camcorder and Portable 3D Display. These are cool nifty toys, and are pocketsize, making it portable and handy. However, I find the product name too lame for its capability. The products are not released yet, but you can pre-order these products at Amazon, Sears, Target, Walmart, and B&H. That's right folks, US only! I don't know if and when they plan to released it in Asia.
The 3D HD 720p Camcorder can record and capture stills and videos in 3D. It's got a built-in 3D-LCD for quick playback. Of course, it can also capture in standard 2D! The other toy, Portable 3D Display, also offers nifty features, because you can now watch and view pictures and videos without 3D glasses! I reckon it's something akin to those "3D" postcards I used to get when I was a kid. Aiptek said, they made it possible thru their "Parallax Barrier" technology.

Tech Link (Overclock): Core Temp 0.99.7.7 and Core Temp Gadget 2.3 Released
Well, I know I'm late but hey, better late than never. Anyway, since I am "trying" to come back in being active with Blog and in the tech community, I have started to visit my old favorite sites. It's a good timing I guess, as I'm just a few days late about the cool new updates from CoreTemp author. Aside from the latest CoreTemp 0.99.7, there's also a new Core Temp Gadget 2.3!
This cool little add-on looked really nice on my Win7 desktop and I'm like "Ohh, schweeetz!" I suggest you go and grab 'em coz they are not only hot, they are FREE! I mean, with such cool software costing nothing, not even crippled, but a full-blown, no fuzz software, this is totally awesome! Grab it!!!!!!

Tech Link (CPU): AMD Ontario performance numbers leaked
Apparently, a leaked performance of AMD's upcoming architecture (Bobcat) shows that it has "good" performance against Intel's Atom D510. However, I am really not sure what the graph shows since it says on the right most column under the heade "Speed-up" (vs Ontario), Atom D510 shows 0.58x. The rest of the column, from top to bottom, shows 1.15 (vs Athlon II X2 250u) and 2.42 (vs Phenom II X4 965BE). If I am to read that, Atom is 0.58 faster than Ontario. Oh well...Monday, July 26, 2010
Article: Fanboy's Feedback on The Last Airbender Movie
I just saw The Last Airbender [in 3D] last weekend together with my kids. I decided to write a mini review to share my feelings about the movie since I am a fan of the animated series. I have always kept my eyes open for new episodes at Nickolodeon channel and Avatar: The Legend of Ang has always offered me fun and entertainment after a grueling work, or tasks from the office. It offers me a brief moment of solace and isolation from the world around me, as I engulf myself in the world of Avatar. I have come to like all the characters, and have always been looking forward for the next episode. So it's not a surprise that when a movie was planned, made, and shown, I am also one of the faithful that flock the cinema. I will now share my mini-review and my feelings after watching the movie.Sunday, July 25, 2010

Tech Link (Industry): Andre Yang found doing "malpractice" of overclocking
Apparently, the famous Andre Yang, is banned for doing "malpractice" with the recently concluded MOA LOO contest. Well, he's banned at XtremeSystems.Org and HwBot also issued a 1-year ban on Andre and all those involved: Hiwa, eXtremetweaker.de, KJ and Skinnee.Wednesday, July 21, 2010
Tech Link (Industry): SetFSB is still alive and kicking!
A looooooong time ago (ok, not too long), I was obsessed with the dark arts of overclocking. I scour each and every nook of the interweb forum and wreak havoc among the naysayers, blasphemers, unbelievers, those who lack faith and just outright spawn of the devils (I am actually refering to AMDroids if you're still lost). I would pin down all those rascals, the nasty claims against the God of Processors. I would battle them from graphics relevance, to power consumption; from price to performance; from socket changes to chipset differences; and even against those who claim no difference at all!I operate beyond the shadows, beneath the cover of my pen name, and slay all those who would go against my belief. I am venageance, the mere mention of my name brings forth flames and sorrows against my enemies, for I am death_metal, the harbinger of doom, the right-hand of justice, the ultimate FanBoy!
Ok, what I'm trying to say is that my good ol' friend Abo is still alive and kicking and spewing out many versions of SetFSB, the great OC software. I never knew that he came back and started developing by June of this year again. Anyway, go visit his website, he's got a lot of cool new updates and who knows, your product might be supported.
Ah oh, if your product is not supported, let him know and he'll give you instructions and how it can be supported. He's a cool Japanese dood, and he helped me developed several Intel-branded board OC software back in the days.

Tech Link (Industry): Two Flagship Gigabyte Mainboards: GA-P55A-UD6 and GA-P55A-UD7
I have long lost interest with XbitLab's articles as I find them to be going the way of the dodo whenever they post articles. But, the same can be said to most tech sites I visit nowadays, so I guess it's probably me that's going the way of the dodo. Anyway, this post is ain't about me so if yer interested to see and pondering of getting a new board, this article might help you make up your mind.Saturday, June 05, 2010
